PRODRIVE racing protégé Bryce Fullwood will race at Mount Panorama for the first time in an AU Falcon, joining a capacity 55-car grid of Saloon Cars at the upcoming Easter Bathurst Motor Festival.

The 16-year-old, who recently debuted in the Dunlop Series at the Clipsal 500, came to terms with the Coates Hire backed saloon car he will be piloting around Mt Panorama at a race meeting at Morgan Park.

“It was my first time racing in the Queensland Saloon Cars series over the weekend as well as the AU Falcon I will be driving around Bathurst. I’m having a ball and really liking it. I’m really looking forward to racing at Bathurst, hopefully we will do ok there,” said Fullwood.

Fullwood, who is a foundation driver for the Prodrive Racing Australia Academy, a program focussed on developing drivers to one day race for the company’s dual Bathurst winning V8 Supercars team, is looking forward to racing at the infamous mountain for the first time.

“It is good to have the support from the PRA Academy, as well as Paul Morris and my engineer John Faulkner who hooked me up with this drive. I went to the Bathurst 1000 last year for a look around and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It will be good to have a go at the mountain,” said Fullwood.
